This was a very cool place to visit. Lots of cool outdoor art. There were a lot of ingenious ideas with the artwork. Gotta see and visit when in Lynchburg!

Our family’s visit was fun and enjoyable. We spent about 3 hours. They were constantly cleaning different levels, and would announce which levels they were cleaning so you knew where to go. Masks required for adults, but not young children. Temperatures checked at the door. The paintbox was so fun, and we loved the new exhibit. The Native American exhibit was cool, too. I wasn’t a fan of the tunnels, I think my kids were too young. They say 5 and up, might should say 6 and up.

Completely engaging, interactive, educational and addictive!! Lots of activities for all ages (including adults). Kids loved the new City Lights and river and lock activities. The farm, teepee, tubes, paint box, play stage and music theatre are always a hit! Staff could not be friendlier, kid-centric or patient! The staff member at the music stage when we were there last was the best-she took the time to show every child how to play each part and seemed to love her job! Very grateful the museum exists to entertain us all!

We have visited here several times and ended up with having annual pass. Good thing for kids here is not only having fun but also be educated by playing through conversation with parents or friends.

What a nice place for kids! And the staff members are great too! My kids appreciated all they had to offer, though it is geared mostly towards toddler through elementary school ages. If mine we were younger, they would want to visit several times a year, and we would definitely be doing birthday parties here!

We loved The Big Red Barn book coming to life. The only thing missing was that the book isn't for sale in the gift shop. Oh and a few more benches for Grandmas to sit would be great. This is a place for kids to stay and play for hours!

My four year old granddaughter and I enjoyed a day here. Some things were too simple. The crawl through play area in the center was too difficult for her, and she didn't care for some of the science exhibits. But she loved playing in the water with the boats, getting in a cave and being in an Indian house. She liked the paint house and the place where balls roll down. A lot of stuff will have more educational meaning in the future. But now, it was just fun to play. I like the fact that you can come back in, as we left to go eat lunch.

Price was reasonable. Great place for younger children especially if the weather does not let them get outside. Very hands on.

Love the James River lock system and the Galileo gravity and acceleration experiments. When my kids were younger, we visited here much!
