Stopped off here with my 6-yr old granddaughter on our way back home and we spent an enjoyable 4 hours exploring the 4-stories of their fun and educational activities. To the delight of my granddaughter, even Nana crawled up and around the various tunnels and ladders that connect the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors! There is a little something... More

I recently visited Amazement Square with my 3 kids (11, 9, 7) during our 3 day visit to Lynchburg. There are 4 floors in a restored building along the James River. Inside offers a climbing and sliding structure that spans all 4 floors; a music station for budding musicians; an architecture drafting area; a small science area to learn a... More

When we went some of the items did not work. We could have been easily done by within 30-40 minutes. I had 3 boys 5, 7 and 9 years old.

I recently took my grandkids to the museum. They live in the northeast and have been to many big city museums and they don't compare to the gem we have in Lynchburg.

So I know this place is meant for children, but as a member of a group of adults who went it was so much fun! We called ahead to book our group, but my favorite part was the zip line, and the boating exhibit. The most fun thing was the boats I thought it was great taking these wooden boats... More

We are members of Amazement Square and try to go regularly to see the new exhibits. Our two year old has been going for at least a year and he loves it - we even had his 2nd birthday party there! From the farm on the main level to the James River upstairs, the entire building is packed full of... More

Ok. Not the greatest babysitter. Need help . Twins 4 & toddler 2. They don't golf, play poker or watch sports on TV. Weather not so great. Let's go to Amazement Square. Fun interactive games & plenty of young folk to help out. Not that I needed help, mind ya. Nothing like mixing fun & education. What a novel idea.... More

A real hands on interacting kind of places. Hardest thing to find there is a kid that's not having fun!
