This museum is now free of charge all the time. They change the exhibits so it's not always the same thing. It's a great way to learn more Lynchburg. My son gives it a thumbs up.

I especially enjoyed the timeline of Lynchburg, on the first floor. We didn't have time to see all of the exhibits downstairs before the museum closed for the day.

My husband especially loved this outing! He loved all of the history plus the terraced stairs dedicated to all the different wars and branches of the military! I know we would definately take this walk again to find a little more history in downtown lynchburg.

If you are interested in learning about history of the area, then I would make a stop by the Lynchburg Museum. It has multiple floors offering a variety of artifacts and displays. It is not massive, so will not take long to look at everything.
