What a great trail! What a great idea. I grew up in this city and have been gone for over 20 years but this was a wonderful find on a recent visit. Loved running this trail and walking it with my family.

Great paved trail. Bikes, scooters, skateboards are welcome. Pavement is pristine. You are in or near the city, but it is mostly quiet and serene on the trail. A little hilly, great workout but not hard and benches for breaks are scattered along the trail.

This is a fantastic trail system for walking or biking. There is a bike barn nearby for you to " borrow" a bike if you need to. About 1/2 of the trail is shaded making it great!

Parents & kids all rode bikes on this trail. Trail is beautiful & well maintained. I wish it was longer, maybe eventually!

My husband and I were traveling with our two dogs. We were looking for something to do with them. This was ideal! Who would have expected such a beautiful trail in downtown Martinsville. Get out and walk the trail!

The 4.5 mile paved trail is a beautiful retreat from the day to day. It is fairly level for the light walkers and bikers. There are plenty of resting spots along the way. The people are always friendly. There are many access points which makes...More
