Easy trails that are well marked and maintained. There are signs throughout that explain some of the history of the park. Seeing the trenches along the paths is definitely a somber moment.

Great place for civil war buffs!! You can tour by car or walk! Park rangers are friendly and are a wealth of knowledge. You'll find some local folks around the area that had relatives fight here and are gladly willing to share!

We love walking the trails here even in the snow. Our dog is off leash trained and this has always been an awesome place to take her walking. Though slippery in many places we even enjoy walking here in the snow.

One of my favorite things about living in Virginia is the rich history behind it, particularly the battlefields and trails. Like other reviewers have said, the trails are just beautiful and really do give you a humbling aspect of what life was like for the...More

This small park preserves portions of the much-larger battlefield. Stop at the interpretive center and get the free map showing the loop roads and trails. Hundreds of earthworks/trenches and gun positions remain to be seen from the car. Stop and view the few monuments to...More
