Great place for civil war buffs!! You can tour by car or walk! Park rangers are friendly and are a wealth of knowledge. You'll find some local folks around the area that had relatives fight here and are gladly willing to share!

We love walking the trails here even in the snow. Our dog is off leash trained and this has always been an awesome place to take her walking. Though slippery in many places we even enjoy walking here in the snow.
