I stopped in as I was staying in Middleburg and was interested. Located in an old house along Washington Street. Exhibits were primarily 1700-1800's art focused on horses and hounds although they were exhibiting some newer art from the 1900's that was extremely vibrant.

Very friendly people working at this little library. Collection is very specific - horse breeding, fishing. Great for researchers. Free for the public to look around. Didn't go into the museum.

I had the museum to myself this afternoon, so I enjoyed the new exhibit of 48 spectacular paintings, pastels and 2 charcoals of racehorses, foxhounds, foxes & chickens. I love everything about this museum, it is beautiful inside and out.

I came for an exhibit here. Beautiful place, with perfect exhibit potential (lighting, walls, etc.) Work of Andre Pater is on display there until mid August. Well worth seeing.

While the museum is beautifully done up, what surprised me most was the small but charming library next door. Library admission is free. I actually spent 5x the amount of time in the library compared to the museum. There were many good books to read,...More
