Made a quick stop to visit the chip factory and buy freshly cooked chips. The website directions were very clear otherwise I don't know how easily we would have found this place as the signs were infrequent and were small and you really don't know what you are looking at from I-81. They just happened to be preparing 100lbs of... More

I had a little time, and I was given directions to this factory. Therefore, I went, and I was glad that I did. I was given a little tour by a very wonderful and lovely lady. (I do not remember her name.) Most important of all, I got some potato chips. Please note that they do have an upstairs.

Third time I been there. try to stop there every I'm in area. Small potato chip factory. They make different flavors on different days. You can watch the whole process thru various windows. They have samples to try and you can buy first grade or bags of rejects. They are kettle chips which are a little thicker than normal and... More

My husband and I have been big fans of Route 11 Chips for several years. We've always wanted to stop by their factory but have always been in too big a hurry. This time, on a trip back to Northern Virginia, we decided to make the stop. And we are glad we did! While the factory was not in production... More

A new experience for us--how potato chips are made/packaged. Very low key and ample samples. A quick tour, nothing fancy but something you can cross off your bucket list.

Miles out of town, not just off Route 11, but worth tracking down. If you go the wrong way you may get to cross an old single lane covered bridge. When they say hand made they are serious. There are two or three employees involved in the entire process. The chips are flavored by hand. The worker spreads a large... More

It was cool to see how they make potato chips. You can learn about their history and try some chips. :) So my review is this is a fun place to visit. My 2 young sons (ages 8 & 11) love to watch shows like "How it's Made" so it was great for them to see a live production line... More

These are my favorite potato chips. Best crunch. Great flavors. Hard to find in my area, so was happy that the factory offers large bags. They have a special bulk bag for a discounted price, you just don't get the chips in their designer bags. And to keep them fresh they recommend you freeze them. Definitely worth the cost. You... It was very interesting to watch the chips being made. They have sample baskets of all the flavors of chips. They have individual large and small bags for sale. They also have sample packs & buckets. Chips are delicious!!

It just looks like a warehouse on the side of the road, as you go into an unsuspecting side door almost unsure if this really is open to the public, you enter a brightly decorated room of chips. There are samples on tables, shirts at the counter, and of course chips to purchase. If you are lucky enough to appear... More
