Always a treat to see a covered bridge in use. This one is typical of a single lane, but it's longer than most. It runs over a beautiful stream that happened to be doubling as a swimming hole the day I visited. Must see.

Classic covered bridge set over a picturesque stream that invites you to put your toes in. We did a little bird-watching and enjoyed the peace of nature.

Quick detour off I81. Highly recommend!!!! Nice pull off lot just beyond one end so you can get out and walk to the bridge. Beautiful spot for photographs. First time at covered bridge for our two teens and they were even impressed.

As a man with a fetish for bridges, I made my boyfriend stop here on a recent trip and we kissed in the middle of the bridge on a sun dappled summer afternoon.

This bridge is lovely. Free of charge and less than a 1/4 mile off the main road. Easily found. It was definitely worth the quick stop for a photo op.

If you're looking for a quick scenic getaway - then head off highway 11 in the Shenandoah Valley to take in an old covered bridge that dates back to 1894! You will enjoy a majestic scene that will take you back in time!

What a blessing it is to experience this covered bridge. My grandchildren loved seeing inside the bridge & exploring around the bridge. This is a great place for pictures anytime of the year. We've done family pictures, senior pictures, before prom pictures, and more at...More
