Adjacent to the Narmada River, Jaleshwar temple is located on a hill-top. It is around 3 kms away from the Ahilya ghat and can be reached on foot. As this small town is filled with numerous temples, a stay of a day or two could be well spent visiting these temples.

This temple is situated in the middle of the river. The plinth directly touches the water. Some one doesn't get the feeling of it being an island, which it has to be. Access is only by boat. And during the puja times. Catch the early morning puja around dawn time.

The architecture is worth admiring. Makes for an excellent Photography session. The effort is worth the steep climb, do carry water, as there are no shops nearby incase.
