We spent every day and night eating our way up and down this buzzing street! There are restaurants everywhere on both sides, and we loved the live street entertainment each night!

It’s a beautiful street, with a lot of restaurants and a lot of tables in the street so you can eat outside.
They have a lot of people selling things, awesome leather bags at a really good price .
It’s really nice to take some drinks in the afternoon and also for dinner.
Since it is really hot during the day won’t recommend to eat since it’s extremely hot and sunny, but it’s kinda windy and a lil but cooler in the afternoon .

This lively street is a tourist hot spot with plenty of restaurants lining the street and waiters keen to get your business. It is popular with both locals and foreigners. We came here a number of times and enjoyed the fun atmosphere. We loved the fairy lights that arch over the street. There are street performers that entertain with dancing and fire shows. Many vendors come here to sell souvenirs. Be prepared for people to tout their wares while you are here.
It is lovely sitting outside at one of the many restaurants and watching the world go by. Restaurants here are generally a bit more expensive than other restaurants in Granada, but a lot of them have specials which are decent value.

Lots of shops and restaurants up and down both sides of the street for around four blocks. Very lively on the weekends. The seedy side comes out after around 9:00. We always try to be home by 8:30-9:00.

A beautiful street in the heart of Granada. Has so much going for it, and very popular with the tourists. It has an atmosphere all by itself, with outdoor, bars and restaurants. My harsh score, is the lack of control. Especially when it comes to music. 4 or 5 bars, make the street a misery to be on. I'm not against a bar having music inside their premises, but it's when the inflict the music on street its truly annoying & aggravating. Every bar and restaurant are entitled to their choice of music. Most nights your subjected to Reggaeton etc. But what if you fancy a jazz, blues or a rock bar? This is an international street that should be catering to everyone's needs and not the few!

We had a really nice dinner here but the street in itself is home of much soliciting from restaurant employes, making it impossible to stop to read a simple menu. Choosing a restaurant here is almost impossible.
On a more calm part of the street, we managed to find a place with good reviews where we had a really nice pizza dinner.
Not the best for a dinner in Nicaragua but for sure the best possible in this street.

The street starts at Central Park and end at the shore of lake Nicaragua. It comes to life mainly in the evening when multiple restaurant and bars open. There is live music and it is great place to stroll and have a drink or dinner.

I would have loved to have sat outside to enjoy a beer on a night in Granada, but the cacophony of muszak from overblown speakers outside every bar and restaurant, not to mention cars with advertising stereos on full blast, ruined any chance of that. I don't understand all who rave about how great this place is when it's the noise is nothing short of ridiculous.

We visited Granada in February, 2019. Due to the disruptions in Nicaragua in 2018 and the political turmoil, many tourists have stopped going to Nicaragua and to Granada. This is a mistake! We felt completely safe at all times, including walking at night to and from the Plaza Central, and the various restaurants in La Calzada, restaurant row. If you know and love Granada and Nicaragua, it is time to go back. If you don't know them, it is time to open yourself to a great adventure! There are bargains galore, and prices have never been lower...and the hotels and restaurants are eager for your business!
