So, we did the short 2.5 hours kayak tour of the Isletas. We were very underwhelmed with our guide. We are fully bilingual, in fact our first language is Spanish so communication was not the issue. Our guide was an 18-year old kid who pretty much just kayaked ahead of us marking the route for us to kayak through but... More

We did several tours with this company in both Granada and Leon.Really safe, punctual, courteous drivers, really interesting tours and very informative guides who spoke excellent English. They were very caring towards us and all had great senses of humour. Overall value for money this is an excellent tour company.

Good tour company. Picked us up from our hotel on time and was only one other person with us so it felt like a private tour. Took a nice winding drive up to Mt. Mombacho. Stopped at a "coffee plantation" which is pretty much just a shop to use the bathroom and buy packaged coffee. Did a short hike at... More

We did 3 different tours with this operation, and all 3 were great (Isletas Kayak, Masaya Night, and Mombacho with zip line). The van picked us up exactly when they said it would each time, and the ride to and from the locations was perfect. We had Lorenzo for the kayak tour, and Gustavo for the others. Both spoke English... More

Granada's a nice city to just walk around but Tierra tours will give you some history behind the city. Overall it's a good way to learn more about Granada, pretty cheap too.

For whatever reason, Tierra vans were an hour late on both our excursions. The company at least called our hotel as we waited for trip to Masaya. Blamed delay on an "incident " at the volcano that morning. We got no such call for our shuttle to Leon. The hotel called Tierra for us a couple of times and we... More

We used Terra Tours for all our tours when we as a family visited Nicaragua. Very professional and nice. They are not the cheapest but I think compared to with we got, no problems etc. they have a very and reasanable price. Lays right on the Calzada.

We had a great trip using Tierra Tours, going to see Las Isletas and Volcano Masaya on the same day. They were really friendly, provided great information and even managed our expectations (i.e seeing the lava at Volcano Masaya for only 10 minutes). They also help to take photos too, which is helpful for a couple on their trip. We... More

My husband and I traveled to Nicaragua in June 2016. This was our first trip to the country. We booked a Tierra Tour every day of our trip in Nicaragua. What an amazing tour company. They picked us up every day (and they were early every day too) from our hotel in Managua and they returned us to our hotel... More

We visited Tierra tours after a friends recommendation. Walking down the main street in Granada you are hassled by tour operators in their droves and bar/restaurant staff trying to get your custom. The first thing we noticed about Tierra is that no one was aggressively trying to get your custom, upon talking to the staff in there it was clear... More
