About
Established in 1925.
The famed architect, sculptor, & founder of Granada's Ladrillaria Favilli, completed building his mansion in 1925, with its first official extension of the 3rd floor in 1945. Having became a luxury, boutique cigar factory and lounge, the 4th floor was built in 2016, making the Favilli Mansion Granada's tallest home and highest residential view.
Currently, there are three operation bars throughout the four floors, with a walk in humidor, boutique manufacturing for tour guests who want to experience a send back in time to a better, more classic age, and an all around luxurious experience which is Pisa, Italy meets Central America in all its blend of flare and chic style.

We had an amazing afternoon learning all about cigar production with Nuvia finished off by rolling our own - probably our favorite thing to do in Granada. Geoffrey was patient showing us the process and helping when we got stuck, it’s not as easy as he makes it look! We were able to sample some cigars and were fascinated with the blending process - testing three separately and then smoking all three at the same time. A special thanks also to Maria and Ming Lea who put the final wrap on our cigars. Thanks Favilli Mansions for a fun, informative afternoon in beautiful surroundings. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We went here not knowing quite what to expect, but it ended up being our highlight of Granada. Our tour guide Nuvia was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. The tour cost $8 each and was fantastic. We stayed after the tour to try a cigar and glass of rum which cost an additional $10. We ended up staying three and a half hours and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. We would say this is a must see attraction in Granada.

Nuvia Gonzalez was an excellent tour guide, and the entire experience was fantastic. I did not expect to receive both an architecture/history lesson and a cigar factory tour all at the same time! If you are in Granada, whether you are a cigar smoker or not, you owe it to yourself to make a trip here. Truly the highlight of the trip for me.

Cigar rolling & rum tasting! What a great activity (even if you're not into cigars). The staff here go out of their way to make it a special occasion and the Mansion is a beautiful spot, It turns out its quite hard to roll a cigar but they do give you a helping hand! I would recommend to anyone.

First I’m not a professional cigar smoker , but it’s totally worthy to have this tour. The guide, Nuvia, introduced the history of the brand and the beautiful building in detail. Also how to make a cigar from plants to the final product. Most funny part is you can roll your own cigar. It costs only 20$. I would recommend everyone to have this tour even if you don’t know anything about cigar. You would have the basic knowledge about the cigar. This would be a good start. BTW the guide has a high level of English.

Amazing experience! We were a group of 3 friends, 1 smoker, 1 ex smoker and 1 non smoker. The tour was fascinating. We did the full tour in which you make your own cigar and the guides at each of the many stops along the way were kind and generous with the sole purpose of us having fun. During the tour you can also try some cigars and get free coffee/water/tea and a small amount of alcohol with the cigars. The tour includes watching the entire process of making a cigar, history, aging room and more. At the end of the tour you get a case with 3 cigars. Best experience in Granada even for non smokers.

Very nice experience even for cigar non-lovers :)
For 15 USD you will get tour over the whole factory and they will teach you how to roll your own cigar, which you can bring with you and smoke :))
Tour guides are very professional and welcoming (thank you Katia for nice experience :) ) and their English is on top level comparing with other people in Nica. It is must-visit in Granada!!
P.S. I hope that rooftop bar will be open until next April!!! :)

I have a huge passion for Cigars and wanted to educate myself on how cigars are made, specifically nicaraguan cigars the reason why I went to Mombacho Cigars is because of how they responded to me when I was requiring on their tours. They immediately responded and the next day they arranged a taxi to come and collect me. I walked in and felt so welcomed by Brian who was my host. He has so much knowledge around the company and speaks great English. I went on a tour and stopped to make my cigar, best experience ever. This is the place to go and their pricing is so good

What is the average price for the cigar factory tour?
Daniel B
Gibraltar17 contributions
Dear Sir,
Thank you very much for your enquiry.
Factory tours cost $4 per person.
Tours last approximately 45 minutes.
We begin with a brief history of the cigar industry in Nicaragua and explanation of the different regions in Nicaragua where tobacco is grown.
Next we tell the story of the company and of the building which houses our factory and then we go into all the different stages of production starting with humidification of binder and wrapper leaves, drying of filler leaves, selection and sorting, rolling, aging and packaging,
We finish on the roof terrace where you can take in the breath-taking panoramic views of Granada.
Tours are available in English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
Regards,
Daniel Brancato
