Description:

New Kent Winery offers exceptional wines in a unique setting. Completed in...

New Kent Winery offers exceptional wines in a unique setting. Completed in 2008, the winery is mainly constructed of reclaimed historic building materials such as pre-Civil War brick, 40-foot heart pine beams from the 1850's, and century-old railroad trusses. Along with wine tasting, New Kent Winery offers tours of the building that tell of the history of the building materials as well as our winemaking process.

Having planted the first vines in 2001, New Kent Winery features award-winning fine wines, including Chardonnay, Meritage and White Merlot. Following a tour and tasting, guests are invited to relax and take in the scenery of beautiful New Kent Vineyards on one of the expansive covered lounging porches. The winery also offers gifts, wine accessories, clothing and other items in our gift shop.

New Kent Winery is also an ideal location to host any number of private events, from weddings and receptions to wine dinners and corporate functions.

Located just off I-64, exit 211, between Richmond and Williamsburg.

We enjoyed these wines better then saude creek just down the street. Winery is just off the main highway so easy to get to and from on the way to popular va destinations. $10 for 8ish tastings but did not get to keep the glass. Believe it was the owner who served us. He was extremely knowledgeable about the wines... More

The Winery is lovely. I visited a couple of times with friends for dinner, wine and the entertainment. It is in a rural section of New Kent County, VA. Lots of local friends and visitors as well. A very nice time indeed.

The place is beautiful! The building is all recycled wood except the deck! So much history. The wines were ok. Nothing huge to brag about. The sweet ones were good. Good ideas with how to cook with the sweet wines.

The New Kent Winery is packed with history of the building, beautiful grounds, & some awesome wines that are different from other wineries. The White Norton, White Merlot are well worth a try. I usually drink reds but their whites were great! Highly recommend a trip to this beautiful place!

Great variety of light to "sweet" wines. Not cheap but very good. The tour was nice and the tasting was very professional yet casual. The winery itself is lovely and family owned and operated.

Having grown tired of Busch Gardens with every trip to Williamsburg, we tried something different and ventured out on a winery and distillery tour. New Kent was our first stop and we had a wonderful time. From the knowledgable server to the fun couple sipping wine next to us we had a great time. The tasting room is brand new... More

I'm starting this review with a disclaimer... I do not know a lot about wines other than what I like when I taste it. With that in mind, here are my comments. Upon arrival at the winery, you realize that you are in for a good experience. The grounds are pretty, surrounded by the vineyards and the building has a... More

The person doing our tastings was very nice and informative. She knew quite a bit about the wines and grapes. However, tasting samplings were smaller than other wineries. And a bit expensive. If you don't charge for tastings, like most places outside of this area, people actually buy more wine when they are done! So used to being further south... More

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view and the good wine on a weekend afternoon. Bring a picnic basket, some cheese, a bowl of fruit and relax with good friends.
