Like others, we would have liked to have the chance to wander without a guide. The tour was interesting but the interpretation was the imagination of the designers rather than ours. Nevertheless, it was worth going as there are many lovely features, particularly those involving water. I wonder what the long term future is as maintenance costs will grow and... More

The gardens are wonderful and with all the water features it is a very nice place to have a stroll in Terrasson during a hot summer day. In addition, the guides are very nice.

These gardens are usually only accessible as part of a guided tour. We did the tour a couple of years ago but found a notice they were open (free and freely) for the French mothers day! We took our two mothers and had a good time. The gardens are modern and quite conceptual, so a little guidance helps. The colors... More

We arrived assuming we could wander around, but all visits are guided. I can see why - without someone explaining what on earth is going on you would be likely to miss a lot. On the other hand there is quite a lot which you might want to miss, since many of the features are obscure and perhaps only of... More

The gardens are well signposted on approach routes but seem to disappear as you get close. We drove past it several times before catching sight of a sign to the car park. It was Tuesday and they were closed. We returned later and took part in the guided tour. The guide was delightful and helped us out with our poor... More

We were attracted by their leaflet in a tourist office but the reality was a little disappointing. You have to go on an escorted group tour; almost all the commentary was in French with some asides in English. Rather pretentious philosophical comments about how each part of the garden symbolised something or other. Not many flowers in bloom, and the... More

This is a huge garden built into a fairly steep hillside. Unfortunately, in early June very few flowers were in bloom. However, the property is gorgeous none the less, with many water features. As others have noted, you may access the gardens on a tour only and the tour is only in French. The tours seem to leave about every... More

Designed by an artist to blend into its surroundings, this garden is well worth a visit. Note that it is by guided tours in French only but there are written guides in English. Reading other reviews I see that we were lucky in having an excellent guide who, although we were the only English speakers in our group, took the... More

The imaginary garden are very beautiful, pleasant with a good atmosphere ! If you want to have a visit with a guide, you must deal with a schedule. But anyway, the garden worth seeing it. :)
