A beautiful natural setting forms the perfect backdrop for this small white church, with a simple interior where in addition to the usual religious pictures, a few model boats left by faithful seamen as ex-voto represent a real curiosity. What a pity that the local youngsters have decided to use the seaward wall of the church to express their more... More

Great little place to go see in Ischia. You can enter the church for free and the surrounding is really cool. Another good free-bee that you shouldn't miss.

Unexpected beautiful interior. This dear little church is a must. So simple and captivating, light and lustrous decoration. I just sat there in peace. Beautiful experience.

We rented a scooter for the day and drove around Ischia. This was one of our stops and it was well worth the view. Just a short walk from Forio center with a bunch of cute little cafes on the way. Highly recommended pit stop!

Another stop-off on our taxi tour, it commands superb views along the coast. Dating, if I remember correctly from 1302, it is exquisitely preserved and contains a special corner devoted to the visit of Pope John Paul II. Outside the entrance are tiles or paintings dedicated to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Well worth a visit.

This church is located on a cliff and has a magnificent view both of the island and to sea. It is dedicated to the Mary the protector of the ship wrecked.

Great photo opportunities with the church, the island and the sea. In 2002, Pope John Paul spoke here. The sea was filled with boats as people listened to him speak.
