My family and I had a great time visiting the Chianti region from this lovely spot. Good service and a great location. We were easily able to bus into Florence for €4 each way with a short walk from our room.

Even on a rainy fall day, I enjoyed this winery immensely. Make sure to dine at their restaurant and enjoy the tour before or after. The lady who gave the tour had a wonderful personality and spoke excellent English. I felt like I was visiting a luxurious private estate in addition to a winery. Beautiful views as it is situated... We opted to spend the extra money for Dinner at the Farm, rather than just doing a traditional tour and tasting. The tour was very interesting and our guide, Maria, was an excellent host both on the tour and during the dinner. She took a lot of time to explain the wine and how it pairs with the different courses... More

We went here for lunch. It was really good, both the wine (of course) and the food. They tasting flights were large pours. They had gluten free options but it is not noted on the menu so you must asked. I was able to get pasta and they also surprisingly brought me out gluten free bread. This was one of... More

We took a tour of the winery that included a 7 course luncheon with accompanying wines. The tour was excellent, but since the castle is occupied by the owner only the winery was toured. The lunch after was quite unique. It started with a wine tasting, with instructions of how to taste. Our table had more fun just drinking! First... More

My family of four went to Castello di Verrazzano recently for their "Saturday Special" winery tour and lunch. We all enjoyed ourselves, although the experience did undoubtedly feel a little "touristy." The tour itself was interesting if a little meandering. It was really exciting going behind the scenes of a real working Tuscan chianti wine maker. Our tour guide was... More

My wife and I took a group winery tour to Castello di Verrazano during our honeymoon stay in Italy. The tour guide was excellent; very personable and knowledge. The winery and history of the location was amazing. The views were breathtaking. The tour was followed by lunch and wine tasting. This was one of our best meals during our two... More

This is the castel of the Verrazanno's family in Greve-in-Chianti. Giovanni da Verrazzano, explorer, in 1524 discovered the USA coast from South Carolina through Canada. He was the first european to ship in coast of the Manhattan Island and Hudson River. The bridge - Brooklin - Staten Island has his name. If you are visiting the Chianti's area you must... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the farmhouse of the castle and it was great. Surprise gift was waiting us in the room and Simone was very helpful at the desk down the road. Wine is by far the best we have tasted in the month we were in Italy, especially the Chianti Reserva! Really suggest taking the wine tour!
