I've wanted to see one of these ships up close since I was a kid. The ability to wander around the ship on your on was great as it was pretty powerful to take it all in. The attached museum is very well done and...More

We took our two oldest grandkids on a history trip out east. We visited the Wisconsin and Nauticas museum. We took the self guided tour of the ship with the kids because we thought they might get bored with a guided tour. They loved exploring...More

From stem to stern. Port side to starboard and aft and everywhere in between. This is a must see attraction. Kids will love it and older people will be in awe of it. Very easy to "navigate" not to much climbing if you decide not...More

Battleship and museum were a trip into our past. Lots of fun facts, things for kids, and more than enough to fill up half a day or more. Plan ahead though if you want to do a tour, they sell out. Especially the engine room...More

I've been to other battleships (USS North Carolina & Alabama) and the Wisconsin is by far the largest. It also had a 50 yr service life, which allows you to experience a blend of both WWII and Desert Storm era technology. Only downside is that...More

I am visiting the Battleship Oct 14th. I am doing the self guided tour followed by a cruise on the Rover. Should I wear a jacket or sweater since it's getting cooler? I wasn't sure if a jacket would get in the way if I am in any tight spaces on the ship. Thank you!

I would bring a jacket because you are on the waterfront and in Norfolk the joke is what 5 minutes and the weather will change. Also, you may want a scarf in case the wind is up. There really aren't any tight places that I... More

With military discount I think it was $21.95 per ticket. Well worth it.
