Beautifully landscaped, easy to navigate, interesting species. We went on a cloudy day which made the temperature easy to tolerate. Unfortunately most of the animals were taking their afternoon naps. Cost was higher than I expected, $15.00 per person! Overall, a great diversion from a...More

My wife and I spent a couple hours here. Very logical layout that is easy to follow. There is a train ride that runs the perimeter of zoo but does not encompass views of all exhibits. The animal enclosures seem to be well designed for...More

We found the Virginia zoo to be delightful. It is a good size zoo with lots of animals. The zoo is clean well signed and easy to navigate. The animals all looked healthy and well cared for. I highly recommend going to this zoo.

It was okay. Not a bad zoo most animals were asleep I guess due to the heat but we were able to see almost every animal.

I've been to a lot of zoos in a lot of places and this was the worst one. It should be free admission to get into this zoo. I've paid less money and gotten more excitement at other zoos.
