We visited Cadaques by boat from Roses,& walked up the hill to this amazing church, which towers above the town. Its plainness outside hides the extravagent interior. We were particularly impressed by the gold statue of Madonna above the entrance door. She wears a coronet which,...More

If you like Baroque - this is a feast for you. I think it is about 1705. The Church dominates the town and I have tried to paint it many times! The interior is just wonderful and worth a small climb through the cobbled streets...More

Old church. Not particularly different from many I have been in. There is a gang of cats that live right around there and get as much attention as the church does.....

if only visitors would conform to the requests for no flash photography and for silence in the chapel it would be wonderful, the church itself is over dressed like someone experimenting with pink icing...

you can swim in the harbour of the village in clean and cold refreshing water, nice tapas and inexpensive compared to other countries. the silence is another added emotion. except for a festival of music .such was in july.

Cadaques is famous for the salvador Dali house, but most of all I like to walk around in those narrow streets. Its a beautiful place. Especially at night!

A plain white stone church overlooking the bay od Cadaques, but how surprising to walk in! An interior that takes the breath away. The golden, spiritual treasurehouse has infused Dali's work and that of other artists. A must-see.

Going to Cadaques is a challenge with its windy roads. Finding a parking spot (if you miss the parcade) is a challenge but finding the cathedral is easy. All the winding roads from the harbour lead up and the end of your trip is this...More

Cadaques gets rave reviews in the guidebooks, but it is difficult and time-consuming getting there, along winding mountain roads, and we found the town a disappointment. The church (Esglesia de Santa Maria) was closed for cleaning or repairs, so we couldn't go in. In the...More
