We called in just to have a look at the place as we were in the area and passing. We found the staff (singular) very friendly and helpful and he explained about the reserve and what there was to see. Unfortunately one of our party...More

Wonderful collection of lakes, birds, Polish ponies. Facilities basic and simple, but bring a picnic and have a lovely day out. There is a tea/coffee making area in the reception, with a viewing area there too, and information maps. Toilet facilities including accessible toilets for...More

We visited here in the pouring rain but as it has so many hides we didn't get very wet. The birds were great...ducklings and chicks in abundance. Great views of Bittern and Bearded Tits. A Yellow Wagtail dropped in too. Lots of other birds around...More

Varied wading birds and birds of prey. 5 hides with short walks between. Good visitor centre, toilets and car park. Pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

OK reserve. Small and set out on a linear basis so if you enjoy a good walk to supplement your birding this is not the location for you as it is small and all wetland focussed. Reserve centre but no refreshment facility although there are...More

This isn't the best appointed reserve, the car park, the toilets, the reception are basic but more than adequate and we didn't come for the facilities. The hides, none more than 800m from the reception are all great. The birds, the main reason for going,...More

Try emailing the RSPB who run the site. They could give you the answer.
