This is a local country park to us which we visit regularly. It has a variety of different walks with some longer and some more hilly than others there's some nice views and things to do along the way. Dogs are allowed and can be let off the lead in various parts. There's a fitness trail which has been recently... More

This was our first visit to Shorne Woods and as it was a nice day it was very busy , the car park was full. We did feel the parking fee was rather steep and that £2.00 would be enough rather than the £3.00 charged at weekends. We found the park to be very nice to walk around with plenty... More

The first time I went here it was Easter weekend and the main bit of the park, near the playground, was heaving with families. Once I got out onto the more challenging trail, I only ran into 3 other people in 2 hours (big bonus for me!) The paths are well maintained but not well marked, so when my path... More

Cycled down the path along the A2 and went around the park, the blue route round the outside has some very steep ascents and descents so wasn't very suitable for the kids but once on the flatter section and round the playground they had a great time especially building a fort from tree branches

It would be a great place if every dog owner picked up their animals excrement. Some even bag it and hang it from tree branches. It's a real shame. Most dog owners are decent responsible people, but the few ignorant, arrogant, cretinous low life's spoil things for the people who really take offence to their children having to play in... More

This park is brilliant for families, couples or solo. We often go here during half term and have some lovely walks through the walk finished off with the playground and a lovely picnic. They also offer fairy hunts etc which the kids love and gets them to explore nature. I will continue to visit even when the kids are grown... More

Shore woods is beautiful, with a very good visitor centre and cafe - which is a little expensive though there are plenty of picnic spaces around the woods. Visit / find the fairy ring ....and take the challenge of cardiac hill! Perfect for a easy stroll or a longer walk. Great for dog walkers. Woods clean and well maintained. Also... More

Lovely, well looked after, varied park. Great for long walks, short walks, trips with children, picnics, fishing, dog walks or just for a coffee and snack in the café. Great environment, would recommend to anyone.
