Best Beach in Puerto Rico. Better than Flamenco.
Mar 2021 • Couples
We just finished our visit in Culebrita. For me it is waaay better than Flamenco beach. We also used H2O water taxi to go there. They are very awesome! Dont miss Culebrita when you are going to Puerto Rico!

Great day but...
Mar 2021 • Family
The south side has an amazing beach but beware of the bees and nozeums who are vicious (at least in March) bring long light pants and long sleeves. They take a bit away from the beauty of this secluded place.

Mysterious Mosquito Island
Nov 2020 • Couples
Beautiful scenery and pretty good snorkeling. Saw goats come right up to the beach. However, in a matter of minutes of being on the edge of the woodline I was attacked by the largest swarm of mosquitoes I've ever seen in my life. I had no less than 100 bites in about 3 minutes and had to jump into the water to get them all off of me. Went back to the boat, and they seemed to follow us and we were were held "hostage" by these mosquitoes all night. Was really disappointed that we couldn't explore the island due to this as I was looking forward to hiking up to the old lighthouse.

A fun day on a Catamaran trip
Feb 2020
Six of us went on Bill's Catamaran all day excursion to Culebrita. We anchored off a beach that was great for snorkeling and then after a mid-day snack swam ashore for a hike to the historic lighthouse and another swimming beach. Upon return to the boat we had a warm meal with fresh fish and all the trimmings that was delicious. Great day!!

Extremely Beautiful Beach
Feb 2020
This beach is absolutely gorgeous. Shallow, still waters... white sand... and enough trees to provide shade where needed. You can also do a short trek to natural pools between rocks.

The Crown Jewel of Puerto Rican Beaches
Jan 2020 • Couples
So if you’re in Culebra, you probably heard of Flamenco. Maybe you haven’t heard of Culebrita island and its gorgeous beaches - and it puts Flamenco to shame.

Culebrita is not your mainstream beach. You’ll need to find a reliable boat operator to take you out, preferrably one that does tours and knows thenisland inside and out. I definitely recommend Cayo Norte Boat Taxi, Captain Louis knows the place like few people do and will get you squared away.

Boat ride isn’t too long (25 min) and you’ll get a beach that’s a snorkeler’s paradise as well as a bather’s delight. Crystal clear water and small rippling waves will carry you to beautiful coral reefs and tropical fish galore. Manta rays and sea turtles are not uncommon, and spotted more than a few within the first hours. Water is shallow, great for bathing, and around the island there’s diverse landscapes for everyone.

Bring water, a good book, and some snacks if you plan to spend the day.
