I would have a look at Hangover Bay, which is fairly nearby. The lack of light in the area would be great for star gazing, but as others have mentioned, be careful of the kangaroos around dusk. Hangover bay doesn't close... More

Yes I believe it is $12 per car. If you plan on visiting a number of national parks you can buy a park pass, it is cheaper that way. Yangchep is pretty close to Perth. Nambung is not, it is easily another 2-3 hours... More
