My husband & I frequently take walks on Lake Fairfax Park's various trails. Trail markings are terrible but if you download AllTrails, you can find your way around the park easily. The varied terrain keeps our visits interesting. It's also fun to stop awhile & watch the soccer games you can come upon while hiking through the ark. We love... More

It is nice to have a nearby park for walking and just enjoying nature this time of year. We are constantly amazed that so close to the hustle I'd D.C. That we can find some places to just relax and see others doing the same.

The most obvious thing in Lake Fairfax is the Water Mine water park. This review isn't ov that as I've only seen it from the outside. Lake Fairfax park is a great recreation spot. There are fishing, camping, soccer fields and a cricket field, but to me the best part is the extensive web of trails through the forests. Mostly... More

Love to come here and meet up with my riding group. We ride the trails with a stop for a picnic lunch. These trails join others that lead into the Cross county Trails and even across Rt. 7 into Great Falls Park.

Really nice park. Free for residents but it costs for non-Fairfax residents. Huge lake with swans, geese, ducks and more. There are peddle boats and fishing possible. Very nice hiking trails. Kids love it

I was not impressed with Lake Fairfax Park and I'm not certain if most of the other glowing reviews here are for the water park, which I did not enter. The lake itself is murky with low visibility and significant algae growth, indicating it's not the healthiest of ecosystems. I would not want to go into the water without showering... More

My wife and I go to Lake Fairfax almost every week. We walk the dog there on the many woodland trails, where we see tons of mountain bikers. When we were younger we camped there a few times a season. We enjoyed meeting folks from all over the world, because the park is used by small international groups touring Washington.... More
