Took a friends 7 year old daughter for the 1st time. She enjoyed it and was entertained by everything they had to offer for a few hours. The butterfly part was all of our favorite! Some of the activities didn't work but for a 7 year old, she was easy to move on to the next. It was nice that... More

We stopped here on our way home from Dollywood. Our three year old loved it. We have a another museum pass that allows free entry to this museum which is great. There is so much to do including butterflies, touch tank and a planetarium. The young child area is great and the lab space was fun.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff and volunteers. Touch a starfish. Learn about tornadoes. Have a butterfly land on your shoulder! WONDERFUL stop mid-drive down 81, for an hour break for the kids.

We were pretty impressed with our visit to the Science Museum. It is on the small size compared to other science museums we have visited but what they had was fun and educational. On the down side, I thought there were too many exhibits that were "out of order" and I thought the admission charge was a bit high. But... More

The Science Museum is great for young children, although several of the exhibits were not working. Our daughter enjoys the touch tank and the bug/reptile exhibits & the butterfly garden (not a lot of butterflies to be seen, & a very limited variety). They have a (temporary?) exhibit of electronic arcade games, which is included in the museum fee. The... More

Last week I spent $45 to take my two granddaughters to the Science Museum for a few hours on a weekday afternoon. What we found was an old, tired out set of untended exhibits. After paying extra to go into the Butterfly Garden, we found a total of about 10 butterflies, feeding dishes full of old bananas and ants and... More
