Windsor Castle

A large park with many activities...good for families and lots of room for the little ones to run and play.

Park by Smithfield Station and take the boardwalk over the wetlands to the park proper, and you will see wildlife in rhe water as well as around the 3.5 mile Park trail. Take the shady route under the tree canopy this time of year. It is a great early morning or sunset experience.

We were going to rent kayaks, but it was just too hot. It was very nice. It didn't look like what I would consider a castle, but it is a great place for walking, running, biking, etc.

Best place to hike and kayak in the area. Nice views of the tidal Cypress Creek, tributaries, vineyard and historic Windsor Castle farmhouse and barns. Site of many local fests and events. About 3 miles around the park. You wont be disappointed!

I have hiked every trail in the park including the bike trail. The bike trail is only a one mile loop but you can always go around it more times.

Wonderful area to walk or run. The trails are very well maintained and easy on the feet and knees since it is fine crushed gravel. There is a kayak launch where you can rent kayaks, a fishing pier, a couple of porta potties. Has different terrain as you walk: marsh, wooded and meadow, a few small inclines. Has an area... More

Went to to Windsor Castle Park today after a downtown visit to the Farmers Market, a 1/2 sandwich and cup of Brunswick Stew followed by stroll down Main Street. Just a nice wooded area with miles of trails leading to the Pagan River. Try the trail from one end to the other then across the wooden foot bridges for a... More
