I took the 90 minute boat ride to the island through Tangier Island cruises. Online special for a one day ticket was $28 and taxes. The boat's motor was very loud - bring earplugs or sit up front or up top to escape the noise....More

We were extremely disappointed to not be able to get to a beach. It's interesting to see this place once, but I sure would never need to go back again!

You should go on the Tangier Island website. It contains a lot of useful information, and will answer all of your questions. The golf carts hold anywhere from 2 to 4 to 6 or 8. Take your bug spray!
