Edgar Cayce was a 1910-1930 phenomenon as the "sleeping prophet" who made predictions and diagnoses for many, many people. His books and collections are still in print. My last contact with it was a "hypnosis and metaphysical" period in my teens. They are still operating, and the free tour was small and answered any questions ("Casey talked a lot about... More

Very well kept, staff knowledgeable and extremely friendly, helpful. Was over-awed by amount of material available for research etc. with absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. Spent two enjoyable afternoons participating in various presentations and viewing interesting videos.

It was a rainy Saturday so we decided to drive the couple miles to the A.R.E. They happened to be having a Psychic Fair and we didn't get there till late afternoon so all the slots were full with the exception of me deciding to get my Aura picture and reading. While I thought $45 was a bit high for... More

Although this is a large complex with several buildings and a 30-minute video, I just didn't feel very welcome here. The bookstore mostly is books about him with very little about ARE and what the program is. The visitor center has multiple stories, including a library, but unless you're willing to spend an afternoon here there isn't much for the... More

My husband and I ended up spending over 2 hours here. We watched the film, walked the outdoor labyrinth and meditation garden, spent time in the library and in the meditation room. We ate our packed lunch as a picnic under some beautiful trees. The ocean is visible from the 3rd floor. There is a lovely cafe and massage services... More

My wife is a long time member of ARE. Great place to relax (the garden is an awesome place for meditation) and the seminars are all very enlightening. She often checks out books from their library, which is pretty extensive. Next time you are at the beach, swing by and check it out!

I visit A.R.E. once or twice a year. It's a great place if you are interested in "why are we here?" and "have we all been here before?" and other such weighty topics. But it's also a great place to relax in the meditation garden in summer or the third-floor meditation room with a view of the ocean in winter.... More
