Walking up to the Neptune statue is pretty impressive. It's much larger than I expected. Great photo ops here with the beach as a backdrop! There is a playground on the beach but we didn't take advantage of it because of the cold weather. Great eating places within walking distance!

This is a cool little spot for a picnic or photo op with the giant Neptune statue but outside of that it doesn't have much to offer.

While you may only think of the boardwalk/beach as a place for sun and fun, you can stay into the night and enjoy some great concerts. It attracts many people, so go on down and have some fun.

Our hotel overlooked Neptune's Beach and in March, you just never know what the weather will be like. One year it can be summery, the next chilly. My last trip was on the chilly side. The beach area is lovely, no matter what. Summer is the best time to enjoy the sights. I'm usually in town on business, so I... More

Loved having this park right near my hotel - so nice to have live music almost every night while you're strolling along on the boardwalk. I do have to say, and this obviously depends on taste, but there was one night where the music wasn't as good as some of the other nights. The band just seemed a little odd.... More

Neptune's Park is along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. You can't miss the huge statue. It is very impressive with the intricate details to it. I loved the turtle. I didn't visit in season so wasn't there for any of the festivals but could tell that it was a happening area with the concerts.

All along the promenade, Virginia Beach has placed numerous art works and memorials. This park is dominated by a huge sculpture of Neptune, placed by city fathers to congratulate themselves on their civic pride. It's good - but don't miss the nearby Museum of Lifesaving Station

Certainly worth the walk down the boardwalk. This amazing piece of detailed art is the crowing jewel of Virginia Beach. Neptune's serious visage is half gentle reminder that the sea is fragile and must be treated with respect, and half threatening warning that he is also it's protector. Truly majestic.

Lovely donation to the city of Virginia Beach. Standing next to it almost makes you feel like you're in Lake Albano.
