Historic Jamestowne is the original site of the first permanent English settlement in America. Ongoing archaeology at the site of James Fort has changed our understanding of the struggles and triumphs of early 1600s life in Virginia. Living history programs and an archaeology museum tell the story of this dramatic rediscovery. The site is jointly administered by the National Park Service and Preservation Virginia.

There's an actual live archaeological exhibit on these grounds. Other than that there lots of exhibits in the museum , shops to buy trinkets at and a couple of food vendors as well.

Glass blowing & exploring this site was well worth the effort. The old church & diggings were very interesting. We spent about 2 hours here.

No charge for parking. No charge to go the Glass blowing demonstration. There is a small charge for Historic Jamestown area at the end of the road but it is well worth the charge, especially if you follow along with a... More

I did the historic triangle but don't think you could complete Gettysburg and Jamestowne due to distance. Jamestown historic site takes a couple hours then the archeological site at least two.hours
