Tucked away in a corner of James City County, fairly close to Williamsburg this park has walking trails, a club house, some exhibits and outdoor seating/picnic tables. It is staffed by JCC employees. The is also a botanical garden which is maintained by the local Master Gardener Assn. Great place to get away from the maddening crowd

Clean rest rooms, bike wash station. authentic Williamsburg type structure, ample parking, excellent hiking - suggestion mark the trees with color coded markers. With all of the leaves on the ground and recent rains it was hard to follow the trail at times. Never got lost just would have made it easier. Thanks to those who do maintain the area.

Love to take my dog there to walk the trails. There are several interesting things to see there ... the Botanical Gardens, Go Ape and a reconstruction of a plantation house.

We attended a delightful wedding reception at Freedom Park. Tents were set up on the back upper patio. The air conditioned building was set up with two buffet serving lines for catered food. The sound system may have been provided by the hosts. In any event the music and dancing contributed to a fun happy occasion.

My husband and I dropped by to see the garden. It was small, but had lovely ideas to try at home. There were lots of other activities on the grounds as well.

I've been to Williamsburg, VA serval times but this was the first time visiting Freedom Park. The botanical garden was small and not as beautiful as I was expecting. It could be so much more. They recently had a butterfly showing and there we a few butterflies still there and they were beautiful; we were able to get some nice... More

This is a nice set of mountain bike trails which can be written in pieces or as one large ride up to 20 miles. Some routes not too technical there are optional difficult features that of been made but you can ride around them.

We have been trying out different mountain biking trails and were recommended Freedom Park. The trails were well maintained and the attendants at the main building were super helpful at helping us choose just the right trail for our level of expertise. There's a neat little garden there as well that we will visit the next time we go.

Freedom Park is a beautiful, green, active, fun location in James City County. The history of Hot Waters, the beauty of the Botanical Gardens, the relaxation of the many trails, the fun of the Go Ape adventure, and a place to gather for a picnic, all add up to a jem in the JCC Parks System.
