The falls are worth seeing, and it's also very accessible by a level trail. Online park maps did not name every trail, so we had to just make good guesses about where we were headed. We didn't get lost and discovered that while the main...More

Bellingham is so outstanding for parks within the city limits, among which Whatcom Falls Park is a delightful winner. It's big enough for a decent walk, small enough to not get lost, wooded enough and with a lovely creek and sweet small falls to be...More

Beautiful place to run with your dog. I love the sound of the waterfall. Even though you are very close to town you feel surrounded by the beauty of nature.

We enjoyed a walk in the trails by the waterfall and around the water. Many people were out biking and walking. Several groups of school kids were also there.

This place is a terrific place to just walk around for a couple of hours. I'm also a runner, and I was thinking that the trails there were perfect for running as well. They're well-maintained, without tree roots and rocks hiding under leaves, waiting to...More

Yes, there are many places in the park to read a book. If you want to be near the falls, I would of course bring a folding chair or spread a blanket.
