This is a beautiful place to spend the afternoon. I first visited this park in 1980 while attending Western Washington University. It's quiet and peaceful and a good place to relax. Over the years it has changed very little. It's still a delightful place to...More

I should start off by saying that I hike regularly; like six out of seven days of the week and I try to climb hills to get those calories burned off. We were visiting family and need to get some fresh air, so we decided...More

We didn't get to the park until after 4 PM. Unfortunately the sunset at about 4:35 PM. The trail that we quickly hiked was heavily treed with peek a boo views of the water. Unfortunately we had to cut our visit short when the sun...More

this is an interesting spot for inter tidal pools depending on the tide when you're there. Great views, great picture taking spots.

I visit and hike national, state and county parks in Washington State in Skagit, Chelan and Whatcom counties. I am nearly always completely satisfied with trail quality and markings. Larrabee State Park was an unfortunate outlier. There are no clear trail markers, and the trails...More

Perhaps it was because I am not that much used to a wild-life park concept, where you face the intact nature at it's purest (or almost purest); but to me that was a breathtaking experience. We took a hike to a viewpoint overlooking the ocean...More

At either the boat launch or the park you can walk the shore or the trails along the top. This is a nice place to hear the ocean. There is a fee to park if you do not have a pass.

Gorgeous waterfront picnic spots, rocky or sandy. If you've had enough ocean time, simply head out and cross Chuckanaut Drive to hit up some trails in the hills.
