Beautiful and Lush hiking!

Truly a great place to see a lot of lush vegetation and beautiful views to photograph. There are homes/cabins available to rent and the hike to the lighthouse is well worth it!

Area has many great walking trails and 2 very photogenic lighthouses. It is great to take a walk on the beach at low tide and explore the shore area. This is a State Park so you will need a pass which can be purchased at the kiosk on site. This is a must see when in the area, lots of... More

Visited because of access to two great lighthouses, Cape Disappointment and North Head. Nice park with great walking trails and scenic vistas. Lots of foliage--nice to have names and info of various plants, trees, flowers, shrubs, etc. posted by the trails. Main parking lot for access to Cape Disappointment Lighthouse fairly small (20-25 spots?), but sign said on opens up... More

The RV sites we great. They were semi private and ours was just steps from the beach. The park itself was big with lots of things to do and very clean.

Interpretive center and lighthouse views are worthwhile. Hike to the lighthouse. History lesson included. Very interesting.

I've camped here & doing just a day trip wasn't enough. So much to see & do! Enjoyed the gift shop at the North Head lighthouse.

Very scenic area that certainly provides a different perspective on the Washington coastline. The Pacific beach area was not at all crowded despite it was the height of the summer. I don’t think I have ever seen so much driftwood in one place, ranging from small pieces to literally section of tree trunks! No doubt due to its proximity to... More

This is a must do for all travelers to the area! Incredible view. Strenuous hike. Just take it slow and steady. There are no bathrooms by the lighthouse. Must also bring your own water.

I really enjoyed this state park. We visited multiple Lewis and Clark sites and this was one of my favorite. Yes you have to pay for parking ($10) and $5 each to go through the interpretive center but I think it's more than worth it. The money is going to support state parks and preserve history. The hike out to... More

I would recommend Cape Disappointment for easily accessible nature walks for people of all ages and abilities. I didn't go into the little museum, but the walk (approx. 1 mile) out to the south lighthouse is lovely and the view at the end is great payoff. The campground was well-lit, and very popular. All sites book up months in advance... More
