My wife and I walked up to the lighthouse on a crisp Saturday afternoon. There was some mud that had to be avoided, but otherwise the hike was moderate and very pleasant. The view of the cove from the lighthouse area was spectacular. We also got to see the beginning of a sunset. So nice

We have been here a few times, and each time it seems to get better. The views are awesome, and it is a pretty easy walk around there. Perfect for people like me with a bad back!

Beautiful place to see. Lots of trails to hike, miles of beaches to comb. Definitely worth the visit. Hike to the lighthouse is a moderate half mile.

The views from the lighthouse and along the way are worth the ~10 minute hike from the lot. We liked the views of deadman's cove along the way.

Lots of history to take in about this lighthouse. You can see two right here with the North Head Lighthouse close by.

The walk to the lighthouse is not far, but it is steep. However, the views at the top make it all worthwhile! You can also sneak a peek at working Coast Guard post, with guardsmen on duty guiding ships into the river mouth. There is good signage explaining the difficulties of navigation as well.

This Lighthouse is accessible from the Cape Disappointment State Park. It's about a 3/4 mile hike on a combination of dirt and cement roadway winding through a beautiful foliage of trees, ferns, grasses, and flowers. There are parts of the trail (a good portion of the roadway) which are fairly steep in some parts. Great views for miles and miles... More

Beautiful lighthouse, surrounded by a fantastic view and landscape. You do need a discovery pass to visit, which you can purchase at the park for $10
