From the main street and boardwalks of La Conner, we could see the ''Indian Hat'' buildings on the west side of the inlet. Walking seemed a better idea than driving, so a walk across the rainbow bridge was called for. Foot access to the bridge is from Pioneer Park. The sidewalks are a bit narrow, but the views are good.

There is not very much dramatic stuff in LaConner but the Rainbow Bridge is usually a little eye candy. A fading orange color it is actually a primer coat of paint that Local's insisted be retained when the bridge was built originally and the County DOT was going to paint it a standard color. Limited parking is available at either... More

Walk out to the Rainbow bridge while in La Conner and take in the views all around you. On a clear day you will see Mt Baker and the downtown La Conner core and can watch the boats coming and going in the channel.

La Conner is a quaint little town with the shops and restaurants one might expect in this NW town. The bridge adds a nice backdrop for waterfront dining and a great passage with a view of the town. Perfect for a Sunday drive to see the town, each at a cafe on the water and see the bridge and all... More

I had visited La Conner since 2005 and it became my favorite town in the Pacific Northwest. This bridge is unique in color, and parking at the park end allows you to walk across to take photos of boats, town, and channel. If you walk down through the park toward La Conner you can take underside shots. Now I live... More

This is an awesome spot to view the town of La Conner, Shelter Bay Community, Mount Baker and the Swinomish Channel. You can walk across the bridge and connect with either side of the Channel. One side is the Swinomish Village and Shelter Bay and the other is the town of La Conner. Great spot for picture taking!

Everytime we visit LaConner we see the Rainbow Bridge as part of the scenery from where we eat by the water. So, we traveled to Anacortes and saw LaConner from the bridge, the views were breathtaking going over the bridge!

A red (?) landmark bridge that connects the Swinomish Indian Reservation with the quaint town of La Conner. Boats of all sizes and types sail under the bridge.
