We are staying at The Channel Lodge and got a certificate for a "free" wine tasting. While the wines were pretty good, the fellow waiting on us was more interested in the woman playing really "stupid" at the wine bar. Anyway, we got our wine tasting and bought 2 glasses for $7 each, small pour. Shouldn't have bothered. Can not... More

Entirely not true, and why did you use quotation marks for "free"? Yes indeed, guests at the Channel Lodge do receive a COMPLIMENTARY tasting which gives each guest three tastes. I specifically remember who you were; the woman you are referring to, playing "stupid" (whatever that means) happens to be a professional wine sales rep. representing the largest distributor in... A large group of us met here for wine when in town for a wedding. The deck made for a great spot to gather while overlooking the channel, and chatting. We had children with us, and they were able to explore the boardwalk while staying in sight. There was a nice selection of wines and IPAs for the group. We... More

I stop by Hellams at least once per week and always with out of town guests. It is a large wine store with a door that leads out to a cool deck above the Channel. They have food limited to paninis that are nicely prepared. This place is mainly about wine and beer. There is a wine tasting every day... More

A warm November day walking the streets of historic LaConner WA. At the North end of the waterfront walking path is the outside deck of Hellams Vineyard. A vineyard,? "Where is the farm?" I asked. "You're standing in it, says the owner. My wife and I tasted 3 reds and decided on just the right one for both of us... More

We've been customers of Hellams for over 8 years, and part of the wine club for most of that time. Let us say this first; the owners are hard working, passionate people who give the best customer service we've ever encountered. They help local charities raise money, and are very involved with the community, often donating wine tasting parties so... More

Wine tasting is included in the price of the stay at Hotel Planter. That’s the good news. The bad news is the tasting is at Hellams Vineyard. My husband and I found their wines to be some of the most boring we’ve ever sampled. Both my white and rose flight and my husband’s red flight lacked distinct flavor profiles. It... More

None of the wines you tasted were over $20/bottle, we have plenty of value-focused wines under $15, we stay away from mass-produced wines and focus on family produced, boutique bottles and the majority of our carefully selected inventory is sourced from the best wineries in Washington State. Next time do us a favor and go shopping at WalMart, you sound... More

We had a very enjoyable afternoon sitting on the patio by the slough drinking a very affordable bottle of wine in the sunshine. The cheese plate is strongly recommended. Good products and prices.
