The kite festival is a fun thing to watch as some of the fliers are absolutely fantastic with what they can do with a kite. The town does not have a large business district but there are many stores to browse in and places to...More

You will feel as though the sand goes on forever. The beauty of the migrating birds, Whales, and mother nature at her finest on the hiking trails. Easy paved one out by Cape Disappointment or along the beach path.

So many things to do and little towns close by. The beach is great. The little town itself is fun to walk around and choose different places to eat or have ice cream or fudge. We have enjoyed friendly vendors and also surrounding little towns...More

Everything depends upon what you want to do: beach, shore, motels, kites, eating, a museum or two, art sales. What you will NOT find is a lot of loud noise, casinos, or night life places. But if you live near or in the big city...More

We came for the kite festival and managed to park at a nearby hotel. We grabbed sandwiches and ate during the festival. We saw later there was some food sold, but not sure how much since we didn't explore the booths. It was a blustery...More

Great bike-walking trail that makes viewing the coast and getting exercise easy. We picked up the trail at The Breakers and went all the way downtown where all the fun shops are located.

The beach itself is impressive. There are no food vendors near the waterfront. If you want something healthy to eat stop in the Bakery/Deli on the strip or the IGA grocery store. Most of the restaurants near the downtown entrance to the beach only sell...More

You can drive on the beach and there are access points in town. Watch the tides and soft spots though, but typically there are spots you can park on side streets as another reader mentioned.

I don't know, but would recommend that you call the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce or Visitor's Center.
