Mountlake Terrace closed this tiny former golf course and created a passive-use nature park. It borders Lake Ballinger and features a pond and wetlands. It is nice birding. Unfortunately, a number of scofflaw dog owners have disregarded the explicit signs about MLT's leash and scoop laws. We love this little lake. It's a beautiful sight to wake up to and easy to walk around it. My kids love to bring their blow up raft and go in the lake. Calm and serene.

My granddaughter and I swam at Lake Ballinger this summer. We were very tickled at how shallow the swimming beach is. We had a good time. However there is a lot of bird and dog poop around so you have to watch where you are going. Some people say the lake is too polluted due to bird poop. This is... More

My granddaughter had her birthday at this park. It is absolute lovely and has a huge pool for the community. I was amazed at the cleanliness. Way to go Ballinger!
