This is a must see if you are interested in the Native American culture of the Northwest. Excellent displays of all types of artifacts well preserved by a mud slide, now cleaned and on display.

This is a very nice museum. It is very much out of the way but it is worth a short visit. The scenery on the way to the museum is worth it so the drive is not as long as it might look. It's a...More

For the money US taxpayers paid to build this place, it's pretty disappointing. The locals seem to be a little less than friendly, and it isn't a place where you go to feel warm and fuzzy. The area seems to be fairly run down and...More

The Makah Museum contains an incredible collection of cultural artifacts illustrating their life about 500 years ago. If you are into anthropology or history, this is a important stop to understanding the history of this region and its early inhabitants.

I agree about an hour to visit the museum. If like us you enjoy video presentations the one at the end of your walk through the museum is very good with tribal elder stories. The hike only takes about 20 minutes each way... More
