The actual visit to Cape flattery did not meet our expectations based on the website. The directions and signing almost are non-existent. The trail is in poor shape and needs work. At the end of your long hike you agreed to with a disappointing view...More

A 1 hour 45 minute drive from Port Angeles, but absolutely worth it! Besides driving through stretches of rainforest and spectacular glimpses of coastline, this ling drive ends with a short hike to the very northwest point of the Olympic Peninsula. The rocks cliffs are...More

Trail is undulating, with a well maintained path & boardwalk. A $10 permit is required to be on the reservation. The Makah provide a map on how to get to Cape Flattery trail and also Shi Shi beach. In this it recommends the trail is...More

It is a considerable drive out to the trail, but we were very glad we made the drive and did the walk. The trail is downhill out to the overlook point and uphill back, but the trail is good and not steep, so go slow...More

Words cannot do justice to this beautiful territory on the northwestern Olympic Peninsula!! Fantastic views, breathtaking scenery on this trail! I would return again & again if I could! MUST SEE! Traveled in January - weather was not an issue.

This may be the experience of a lifetime. Try to find one of this clear days...maybe only 20 per year, and it is beyond spectacular. We stood on the overlook for half hour watching a mother and calf gray whale feed only 50 years away....More

This is a great walk down to the coast with stunning views. The trail is very nice and well kept. Take all the time you can and enjoy.

A beautiful short walk through the forest to a stunning sea view. There was an interpretive guide at the spot, answering questions about the Makah people and customs, which was fascinating and added. Slur to this visit.

It's about a mile and a half round trip. This is a great site for hiking in this area :) If you google "cape flattery hike" you'll find more information from hiking sites for the area. (sorry, no links allowed!)
