The start of the walk is from junction of 434th Ave South East and South East Mt Si Road. Only about 490 elevation, the off shoot of Mt Si, called Mt Little Si is just perfect for me as I have only 35 hours in Seattle!! I feel so privileged that my host managed to squeeze this hike for me!!... More

Boys and I hiked Little Si and had amazing views of the snoqualmie valley. Hiking in the Seattle area is great..only took us 30 mins to get here from Bellevue.

One of the most popular (crowded) trails in the Seattle area, Mount Si is popular for good reasons. It packs a seemingly on ending number of switchbacks into 4 miles and reward you with a spectacular view at the top. The trail is in great condition and even in wet weather is generally easy to use. There are hikers of... More

Again a great mountain hike. Bring plenty of water and food and wear appropriate shoes to hike. Hiking poles would be good as there are rocks to climb over but not essential. Views were awesome but it was a little hard to find at first. Make sure to buy a day pass at the local gas station. You have to... More

We went on a Friday and got there at 10:00 am. While the parking lot was less than half full, the few spots on the shoulder of the road just outside of the parking lot were taken. This may be due to hikers, upon arrival at the park entrance reading that a pass must be displayed on the dashboard. The... More

This is a great hike with amazing views that I have completed twice already. If you do get to the top you will not be disappointed!! It is however, more on the though side, so be aware of that if you are a beginner. It is pretty steep and you will be climbing over 3000 ft to the top. It... More

This is an amazing hike! Unfortunately is was very overcast when I went. So no views from the top. But in saying that it made the hike cool in that the colours of the trees and moss etc outstanding. Took 2 hours up and for me a bit longer down. Well formed track all the way. Look forward to doing... More

This was my first time up Si, and my first hike of the season.... It was a tough hike but well worth the views at the top! My knees were hating me on the way down, knee brace next time.

We had heard about Mt. Si as a popular training area for ultramarathon trail runners. We decided to run up the trail and back down. We are relatively fit (easy training pace of 6:20 min/mi), and we were lucky to get under 15 minute miles for the duration of the total 4 miles uphill. Of course, we took our time... More

Completed Mt Si a couple of times. The climb is steep with many switch back trail. There are good view points in the winter with all the leaves gone. There is still some snow on the top near the haystack. Not recommended for little kids unless you prepare to carry them most of the way. This is a popular climb... More
