This place is magical. You would never imagine a place in the United States like this. Beautiful forests, island and beaches. The bridge in itself is an absolute masterpiece. This is such a perfect place in my eyes. Make sure you take the hiking trails around the pass and down to the beach! Dogs on leashes are welcome!

Raw beauty at it's best. You can hike, swim or just sit and gaze at the beautiful surroundings. This place took my breath away and is a must see.

Who knew this gem was sitting up north this whole time, just waiting to be discovered and explored? Not me! However, this month I *did* finally find it as I made my way to Whidbey Island by taking the long way around, and I have to say that it was BEYOND worth the extra gas and time it took! Here's... This is one of the top Parks in America. From the highway drive across deception pass bridge you can park you car on the South side of the bridge. Then walk onto the bridge with pedistiran protected walkways and have a view of several hundred feet down to the water as it rushes through the channel. Some cannot take the... More

Deception pass is great, cloudy or sunny. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and even on an overcast day, the low clouds above the trees and water add such a mystic mood that is amazing in photos. There are tons of trails, places to picnic, and a beautiful beach below the bridge. The only thing that can be tricky is parking.

Deception Pass State Park is a very large park with so much to do. It surrounds Deception Pass Bridge on Hwy 20 between Burlington and Oak Harbor. The bridge is very cool and merits at least an hour of hiking and exploring. The bridge is actually two bridges with Pass Island connecting them. Be sure to explore Pass Island and... More

I really enjoyed walking the beaches looking for local birding opportunities, as well as, exploring the paths taking you into the tidal and forest areas. Great picnicking spot! Awesome views of the bridge.

Wonderful views of the pass from the bridge. Parking lot by the bridge was crowded, but if you are lucky you may find a spot. We were on our way to a motel, so we didn't have too much time to enjoy the sights, but going across the Deception Pass Bridge and taking in the view was stunning.

There are several trails around the park and the bridge is absolutely beautiful. There are also several pullouts where you can take pictures. I believe they are starting to charge now at the main parking area.
