This museum displays all things local from history to geology to shipwrecks to flora and fauna. The display of birds and animals is very good. I particularly liked the video about earthquakes. The volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable. We expected to zip right through it but ended up spending a couple of very enjoyable hours.

We've been coming to Ocean Shores for years but never made it here until yesterday. What an awesome place. Impressive and educational displays about so many cool animals and rocks and plants and the history of the town. It's really a must see now and we'll be coming back every year.

A little off the beaten path but well worth it. We went out there thinking about a 30 visit which turned into over an hour. Volunteers run it and are very informative. Great for young ones with lots of hands on stuff. I especially liked learning more about the history of the area.

We found ourselves at Ocean Shores with two restless kids and rainy, stormy weather. A local recommended the interpretive center and I am so glad they did. We learned so much about the area, and my kids liked being able to feel things hands on. The selection of books and gifts they sell onsite were good and the docents were... More

They had lots of things the kids could touch and look at. Nice to see a museum-type learning center where they can actually interact with things. Visitors pay by donation only, so no high fees to pay to visit.

We were able to visit Ocean Shores during spring break this year and stopped in at the interpretive center to see what it was all about. This is a free experience but they do accept donations. This was a good time for the whole family and the people that were working there were great.

Gives a good overview of Ocean Shores and it's history. The info about the Catala is interesting as is the beginning of Ocean Shores. Doesn't take long to go thru but lots of interesting info including a local wildlife display.

If anything you see go here! It gives you an idea about where you are. The interpretive center has a great collection of gals balls and other beach collections. Its fun to see what washes up. They also educate about all the birds and we loved that! Leave a donation a buy a book. They have a book about anything... More

There is more information packed into this place than one can absorb in five visits. It tells the total story of the entire watershed. Flora, fauna, the shoreline, sea creatures, geography, shipwrecks, everything there is to know about the shoreline and more. I've been to dozens of similar facilities and even built one in the state of MD and this... More
