A historic cinema in downtown Port Townsend, with the best in current film, cult flicks and classics. The auditorium and facade feature gorgeous details from the Rose's day as a vaudeville house, dating back to 1907. With delicious popcorn, plus beer and wine and and a beautiful collection of film photos, the Rose is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Like no other small town theatre you've seen. Worth a visit even if you're not going to a movie!

After sightseeing and shopping in this charming port town, with its restored Victorian buildings and one-of-a-kind boutiques, catch a movie in this lovingly restored old vaudeville theater that shows first-run and art-house movies. The most fun is to catch a flick in the upstairs Starlight Room, where the audience lounges on vintage sofas and armchairs, sipping wine and snacking on... More

Whenever I'm in Port Townsend, I try to see a film at the Rose--preferably in the beautiful upstairs theater space with seating on comfortable Victorian chairs and couches and food by the wonderful Silverwater Cafe. Every viewing there feels like a film festival experience, with smart introductory comments by a talented staffer.

Comfy vintage theater, but the popcorn is the best: you can do naked, olive oil, garlic, butter of course, parmesan, pepper, even nutritional yeast! Ban the bad stuff, theater popcorn is back in my life!

This quaint little theater is a great place to take the family,or a date or just to go by yourself to watch the latest movie.Comfortable atmosphere prices are very reasonable and the venue is just plain old fashioned fun.

The staff let me visit the empty theatre to appreciate the decor. How wonderful! I was interested to hear the story of the restoration and the beauty of the theatre and wanted to see inside. It really is a gem

Okay, there are not many theaters showing movies that I'd enjoy. And, to pay an outrageous ticket price for less than comfortable seats, and being offered popcorn (to which I'm addicted) covered with grease, instead of butter for more than the price of a ticket, just ain't my idea of a pleasant time. BUT, THE ROSE THEATER IS REALLY SPECIAL.... More

We always enjoy coming to the Rose. I love that a person announces what we'll see and what's upcoming. The seats are comfortable. It's very intimate in there.

Several movies show here daily plus special events. The popcorn is topped with real butter and is delicious. The theatre is lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. Don't miss this one!

Rocky gives detailed reviews, includes reviews by others, has remodeled the technology in the theatre, so now we also have 3D films. This is a beautiful theatre, well maintained, wonderfully 'old fashioned' but with updated seating and technology for the best viewing. A great experience every single time!
