It's a small place but still something to do for free. Or cheap with donation. We got to hold a star fish and the kids thought it was cool.

Very friendly staff nice with our four-year old. They have large touch tank and a couple of aquariums, a whale skeleton hung from the ceiling, and that's about it. Most of the aquariums were empty and very dirty. I really don't think they are in very good shape for the public to enjoy right now. Compared to when they first... More

Loved the giant octopus statue outside the museum. Nice 'touch pool' right inside the front door and the staff is available to help with the starfish, sea cucumbers, or whatever the guests want to touch. Some very beautiful and colorful tanks. The only complaint we have is that the museum was not open yet when we arrive and the staff... More

This aquarium and science center is operated by Western Washington University. It is free to visit and donations are accepted. The tide pool touch tank is the best. You can actually touch sea urchins, sea stars, and anemones, among other creatures. There are also tropical fish and jellyfish to see. A visit takes less than an hour and is fun... More

This place was tons of fun! It's a small, 2-room aquarium, and their volunteers make it a ton of fun, and super educational! Their main attraction is a large touch tank in the main foyer, with tons of starfish, sea cucumbers, anemones, and urchins. There's also an activity room in the back for more learning fun. Our 4, 6, and... More

Just happened to walk by and noticed this was sponsored by Western Washington Univ. Since my husband and I met at WWU, we felt compelled to walk in. There is no cost, but donations are welcome. There are several large aquariums with multiple kinds of sea creatures. There is an open "aquarium" where you can touch the creatures. What was... More

This is a little looking place from the street with a Giant Octopus at it's door, however once you get inside it is full of marine information that even goes outdoors to the docks to their classroom within a "waterbottom" boat". It's staff and volunteers are jewels and allow for a hands on experience when you first enter the facility... More

You have to know that it is there or live close by. Sometimes even then, you might miss it. You can learn more about the local marine life at the Center. Then, you can walk to the waters edge and see what you might find!

What a great and knowledgeable staff!! This little spot is a gem! The tank they allow for a "hands on experience" is amazing... Good for all ages!! Every question we had was answered clearly and expertly. While we only spent about an hour there, it was a highlight in Poulsbo!
