What a shame. Such a beautiful park and I will never use it because dogs are not allowed. Upon arrival a nice woman informed me that animal control may give me a $500 ticket for walking my dog in the park. So ridiculous.

It looked lovely from the parking lot, but we were surprised when we arrived that dogs are not allowed, we had brought our dog so we had to leave.

Great place to come by yourself, with family and with friends. Great walking trail along the water. Fun playground for the kids. Has a couple restaurants. Dock for boats. You can fish all year and swim in the summer. Very popular during the summer months....More

Yes most of the walking area is paved. I believe there are small trails that branch off the main one that are just dirt but the main path is all paved.

Lk. is still very cold. I haven't heard if it's closed to swimming yet..Ducks, Ducks and more ducks is the usual reason for a closed beach...watch for signs...They post "No Swimming"..
