Plan it around low tides and give yourself plenty of time. A long walk with abundant sites and a beautiful "LightHouse" near the end.

This was a pretty neat place and one I wish I had more time for (we didn't know you could walk out to the lighthouse and due to our late start we didn't want to have to nearly jog the whole way there and back)....More

So I wanted to see the beach in this area so this is where we went. There is a fee to get into this but they do have guides to answer all of your questions. This is a very rocky beach and not easy to...More

A regular stop for us. We go to watch the sunsets from the bluffs & occasionally to walk down to the spit. Always 'Good'.

This is a quiet off the beaten track place. There are walks by the waterfront, trails thru the brush, and even trails thru the forest. A beautiful place to get away from the crowds, see some pheasants, or quail, or seabirds, and deer, and breathe...More

This place is easy to get to and has plenty of parking spaces and has camping facilities. It is only a short walk through a wooded area to the beach for well worth the views of the coast.

My daughter and I stopped here on our way to Port Angeles. We hadn't planned on spending so much time here - it was wonderful! We didn't get very far (toward the lighthouse) but I got some great photos and my daughter had a blast...More

At $3 per person you can't beat it. The shorter trail just to the beach is quiet and in the middle of a dense forest. This part of the trail is paved and stroller accessible. The beach is beautiful and full of seaweed and drift...More

I have seen some people who do bike the trail to the spit I don't think it would be advisable. The trail is not that long and is frequented by may people. Also that last hill down to the shore is rather steep and a bike... More

Dogs are not allowed on the trail, unfortunately. I think they are allowed in the camp and picnic areas.
