So close to town and really fun. A terrific resource for Spokane

I love Mt. Spokane for downhill skiing, cross country skiing, or hiking in the summer. It is close and with varied runs/routes. Lift tickets are reasonable as tickets go. The... read more

I love Mt. Spokane for downhill skiing, cross country skiing, or hiking in the summer. It is close and with varied runs/routes. Lift tickets are reasonable as tickets go. The lodge is decent and the food is pretty darn good there too. The bar is fun for apres ski. The road is well maintained and parking is rarely a problem.... More

I live in the center of Spokane and grew up in a small town in the mountains of Idaho. When the city becomes a little too much or i need some away time I take the short drive to beautiful Spokane Mountain. I usually just drive alone with my dog for company and we park at the middle parking lot... More

Summer time hiking and mountain biking, winter downhill and cross country skiing. Need a Discovery Pass, except when you go to the downhill ski area. Passes available at REI or at the base of the mountain.

I am not sure all the residents in the area realize what a gem they have located so close. The only thing this park lacks is an attractive visitors/interpretive center. Trails are well maintained in all seasons. The ski park nearby offers great winter skiing/snowboarding terrain at a low cost in which a portion of the tickets go to support... More

Seeing all of the neighboring lakes from the top of Mount Spokane is something else. It is a nice hour from downtown, and from the top you can't see any of the city, just the lakes and mountains that surround it. I recommend this spot for anyone that wants to enjoy a picnic up in nature and be able to... More

Mt. Spokane was one of the highlights of our week-long visit to Spokane. Everything in Spokane is so accessible, and Mt. Spokane is no exception. Our drive out to the mountain was short and beautiful. The drive up the mountain is narrow (be forewarned) though just wide enough. Yes, you travel the same road down as up. (Our first thoughts... What an amazing sight to see from the top. This is for all young and old. Peaceful and quiet and very photo genic. Just drive safe road is barley enough for 2.
