Place is amazing period. Pack repellents, swimming gears, bikes, those hiking boots and lots of "will-have-fun despite bugs/ mosquitos" attitude and you will. Cause we were 6 families and each one of us enjoyed this beautiful park. Few tips: 1. Book early, we booked in January for a camp site spot for July 4th weekend. 2. It gets hot in... More

Excellent place to get together and enjoy a picnic on a beautiful summer day. A little of everything for everyone. We spent a day during family reunion just enjoying the wonderful area!

This place had thousands of "love bugs" must be mating season but they were on us and our trailer, everywhere. I also got mosquito bites in the evening. It is near the river but because of trees and bushes we could not see the river or even hear it. However we could hear trains on the other side of the... More

Wife and I had a nice walk on the trail after a great dinner down-town. The parks along the walk were busy, there was a lot of other walkers, bikers, joggers, skaters - but there always was plenty of room. There was a security guard patrolling on a bike - saw him a couple of times - but I have... More

Secluded feel. Quiet in most areas. Lovely park. Great place for walking or running. Also a good location to have lunch. The trees alongside the trail are gorgeous.

It's not easy to get to, but once there it is a great place. Not the same crowd as Lincoln Rock, just more laid back, and well worth seeking out.

Just went to look, looked very clean, alot of spaces for campers, picnicers and nice sandy beach. Very family oriented.

"Kevin" (our Westy/Scotty Mix) and I recently took this nice walk. If you do keep your eyes open for game. On our last walk we saw an Eagle sitting in a tree, four deer and a Chinese Pheasant. Nice!
