Scenic Winchester Grade Road is worth the trip and a stop at the Observatory is icing on the cake. It's not something you'd expect to find on this mountain backroad. An unexpected surprise, to say the least. Try it, you'll like it.

I had no idea this little observatory could exist out so far from a main road. It is really small and we did not get to go inside but I wish I would have taken a photo.

The observatory was a nice trip outside of Berkley Springs WV. It had fascinating information. A nice day trip from the DC metro area.

If it's open during your visit, it's worth the drive south of town to check out this little gem. The guy who operates it is great at explaining what you're looking at. Perfect for families!

We hosted a speaker from Univ. of Va. that was interested in the search for Planet X, but I am aware of no compelling evidence of its existence.
